Stats

Regarding the topic of the Arts and Education, I conducted a public survey that covered demographics, when and how the Arts are introduced, STEM vs Art Subjects, and Subject popularity. The following infographics are the coagulated results of the survey.

DEMOGRAPHICS

The following section contains the demographics (Gender, Majors/Careers, Schooling, etc.) of the participants. Please take into account that the survey was made public, so there was no control over who participated.

WHEN & HOW THE ARTS ARE INTRODUCED

This section includes at what age participants were introduced to the Arts, if they had the Arts available to them as children and why they chose to participate in the Arts. This also includes what experiences subjects had, including whether or not they took one, two or 3+ Arts Classes.

STEM SUBJECTS VERSUS THE ARTS

At this point in time, subjects were asked how they feel about STEM Subjects as opposed to Art subjects. The scale is a 1-5 scale, 1 being least important and 5 being most important to education. Subjects were also asked to share their opinion on career options for Art Degree Students and where the Arts are most applicable in life.

Popularity of Subjects

Finally, participants were asked a series of questions pertaining to the popularity of school subjects. The scale was a 1-10 scale, 1 being least preferred and 10 being the most preferred topic of choice. Below is the results of each subject, as well as the average popularity in order from most to least popular.
